Chronicler

chroniclerGreetings! I am Lord Murdoch MacRae, and I am pleased to serve as our Shire’s Chronicler. I have been writing and editing, as a hobby as well as a profession, for much of my life. This is not the first time I have filled a role such as this, having previously managed a newsletter for an organization of Bavarian chariot enthusiasts. Aside from my role as Chronicler, my primary interest in the Society is archery. I am yeoman to Lord Aleksei Dmitriev. I also dabble with Middle Eastern drumming, and occasionally brewing.

The Quintavian Milestone is our flagship publication. It publishes quarterly, and contains information on past and upcoming events, as well as articles on a wide variety of topics. The Milestone is always open for submissions of articles, photos, and artwork. Fear not if you have never written for publication before, nor if you do not consider yourself to be a good artist or writer. It is my job to make you and your submission look good, and I will be happy to work with you.

Additionally, the Quintavian Waypost publishes during the months that the Milestone does not. It contains just a brief summary of upcoming events for the next month and business meeting minutes from the past month. Some of this information is also in the Milestone, but the Waypost allows for faster distribution of this information – faster for our readers to receive, and faster for Your Humble Chronicler to assemble as well.

All known back issues of the Milestone have been preserved in the Publication Archive. If you have any issues of the Milestone that we do not, please let me know so that I may add them to the archive and help preserve our Shire’s history.

In Service,

Lord Murdoch MacRae
