Old Business

• Boredom War went well. It didn’t rain until Sunday. There were thirty fencers. Attendance was 286 and we had a profit of $358.86. About 45 people came for the weekend, around 181 for the day-trip.
• Discussion was held about moving Boredom War to late June and/or making it a one day event.
• We will need an autocrat for Boredom War by this fall. Next year is the 20th anniversary of the event, name change was considered.
• The autocrat will bring to the bid their vision of want the event will be.
• The Boy Scout demo was very hot. Seven people attended. It was a low key show, and the Boy Scouts enjoyed it.
• Sent out an order for badges which comes to $72.00 so we’ll have badges.
• There will be a Grafton Fair the last weekend of August. A small group of us may go in garb.

New Business

• Discussed the possibility of having an event in October. There’s an event at Wellsley put on by Carolingia, but they allow others to put up booths.
• Les Jeux is September 10th. Duchess Catherine Stanhope is the autocrat.
• A summer Revel was discussed, with a pot-luck lunch for July 24th. Bring your Pennsic projects and we will also hold a Shire Flea market that day. Buy/trade/sell.
• Due to Pennsic, the August business meeting will be on Aug 2nd. The September meeting will be held before Les Jeux on September 6th.
• In July, we’ll be open for the business meeting, Tuesday July 12th, and Sundays July 17 and 24th.
• There was a discussion about gathering new members. Colleges were mentioned but it is felt that we’d have to provide a weekly event to capture the interest of students. It also requires having an insider at the college to facilitate contact with the appropriate people.
• No bids were presented for Crown Tournament. It was decided that we would be open to a bid until the July 1st deadline and would have an emergency vote, if one surfaced.

Meeting adjourned.
