Officer Reports
Seneschal:
• Several families will be joining the Shire in the coming months; there are
potential active members that are moving into the area.
• The Shire has purchased the material for new tablecloths. Isabel, Sofia and
Eleanor sewed ten new green tablecloths that are available for the Shire to
use.
• The term of the Minister of Lists is up, the office is now open.
• Wavier forms for January have been sent off. There are none for February.
• We are preparing for the Boy Scout demo, which will take place after the
Revel on Sunday the 14th. Plans are to drive up to Hudson after the Revel. The
Boy Scouts have offered to make a donation to the Shire.
• Contact has been made at Becker College about the use of their gym for the
regional fighter practice. If we are not associated with the college, we will
have to pay for security during the event. However, if we are sponsored by the
Medieval Studies Group at the college we won’t have to pay for security. Sofia
has taken courses there; she will follow up on the possibility of our being
sponsored.
Exchequer:
• Lloyd of Penrose has resigned. He’s turned in all relevant paperwork in
excellent order, and has divested himself of the accoutrements of the office.
Agnes will be taking over the position, and Roland will help Agnes get started
with the books. Lloyd and Christiana have been promoted, and will be reassigned
to Anchorage, Alaska. We wish them the best of fortune in their new
assignments.
• We will need an Autocrat for Boredom War. The license for us to use the
Lincoln Stoddard Army Reserve Center is going to be good until November.
Arrangements are being made to contact the site administrator to extend our use
of the facility.
Knight Marshal:
• We are still searching for a site for fighter practice; Lord Anton is
negotiating with a person for the site. It is an artist facility, perhaps we
can also run Arts and Sciences shows there?
• Work is progressing on the loaner suits of armor. Some minor pieces are still
needed; a list and budget will be submitted to the new Exchequer.
• A suggestion was made by more than one person that the armor should be signed
out to any individual using it, and be required to be returned. Holding the
persons license was suggested to prevent the suits from disappearing.
• A fighting format for Pennsic has been issued;
please contact the Knight Marshall for details.
• We are still looking for a site for the Regional Fighter Practice. See the
Seneschal’s report above.
Marshal of Fence:
• Practices are still taking place on Fridays and Sundays. We have been seeing
4-8 fencers on a regular basis at Friday practice.
• The punch tester is still being worked on, one piece is still needed.
Marshal of Siege Weapons:
• There are many activities planned for siege weapons
• Lord Harold Orn is still getting the paperwork for
official certification as Siege Marshall. He has submitted his first report to
Lord Grayowlf the Goner, Siege Engineer General of
the East Kingdom, as requested.
• There are plans for at lest one siege engine training class during Boredom
War. If possible, the siege engines will be in operation during the battles of
the day.
• We are also planning to have a tabletop siege event of some sort, on the
Saturday of the Boredom War event.
• There are many positions available in the use of Siege Engines, age or gender
is not a factor. There are combat positions and non-combatant positions
available, as well as children’s’ activities. Contact Lord Harold Orn, Quintavia Marshall of Siege
Weapons, for details.

• Lady Eleanor le Brun attended Bergantal’s Nova Schola.
• She is working on the kits for the Queen’s Day.
• She will be attending Hiram Schola and will be

possible. Volunteers for the day board do not need to pay for admittance. We
will receive 75% of the profits as Quintavia is
putting up the money for the day board.
• The March Revel is Sunday the14th from 1:00 to 4:00.
• Volunteers will go to the Boy Scout demo afterwards.
